Sophia Riley

Saturday was spent at the Christening for Sophia Riley. She didn't cry once and was the happiest little baby I have ever seen. Waving to everyone and laughing at the Priest, she smiled and smiled and smile.

Cassie & Alex - Love Shines Strong

I spent Sunday on the Marietta Square. It was cold, and damp, but it was a wonderful sitting. Cassie and Alex were engaged just after Christmas and you can see how much they love each other in ever picture. They were playful and open to direction. I had never shot on the square before, but had a feeling it would work nicely. Old city squares are generally pretty, whether rustic and in need of repair or clean and crisp, they offer a feeling of warmth and closeness. Congrats Cassie & Alex. I wish you well!

The Bertrand Family - my favorite sitting every year

This was my third year taking holiday photos of the Bertrand crew. I look forward to this sitting starting in October (that is if I ever lose the feeling of their joy during the year.) The three children love their photo sittings and fight to be the first one for "alone" pictures. Their father wants to make sure the life of his children is tracked and preserved, and his love for them shows.

About Me

Hi! I'm Calloway Deegan. I am the mother of two wonderful little girls, Ella Grace and Hazel Anne, and wife to soul mate, Sean.

Photography was introduced to me at a young age. I can remember opening a Christmas present from my Aunty Kim that contained what I believe was my very first camera, I was around 8 years old. That was when my aunt appointed me the official family historian.

What started as a hobby became a passion when I entered high school and took my first photography class. Although I had always loved looking at pictures in albums and snapping a camera at random, my photography teacher stirred unknown depths in my soul as he introduced me to photographers of the past and present. The first time I saw an image that I had captured come to life on paper I was in love. The smell of the darkroom, the feel of the film advancing in the camera, the knowledge that I could create something that others would enjoy for years to come, all of that and more have brought me to where I am today. I look forward to working with you to create memories you will cherish forever.

I love working with families and children on location at either their home or a favorite park. In my experience, children do much better when they are given a little more flexibility in their sittings. Family gatherings and birthday parties are always fun, as are the smaller more intimate moments in your life. There is no moment to large or small to capture for you.
